Greeting Card
1. Cut three panels to cover a 5x7" card. I used sizes 1-3/4x6-3/4, 2-7/8x2-1/2, and 2-7/8x4-1/8".
Use a Foam Ink Applicator and inks to stencil color onto each panel, changing stencil patterns as desired.
2. Spray mists for additional color and a textured look.
3. Remove stencil and set aside to dry.
4. Assemble stenciled panels onto the card and add a sentiment.
Stenciled Scrapbook Page
1. Cut Geometrics Brown Solid into (9) 3-3/4" squares. Randomly brush with tan acrylic paint (or any lighter color that coordinates with your photos), leaving some areas unpainted.
2. Stencil the pattern of your choice onto each square with black or brown acrylic paint.
3. Assemble the stenciled squares onto an 11.75" square Geometrics Brown Plain, and matte onto a sheet of 12x12 black from your stash. (I didn't end up using all nine stenciled squares since my 5x7" photo will cover the middle. I selected my eight favorites to use for the layout.)
4. Complete the page with a photo, Geometrics cutaparts, and ribbon.
I really like the mosaic look of this stenciled layout. The square frame that holds the journaling block is from the Hydrangeas Die Cut Tags. I painted it with the remaining brown paint on my brush so it would coordinate.
By the way, I also featured the Friends Stencil on my layout! I think it compliments the other Geometrics patterns, don't you?
I'm looking forward to seeing the canvases, cards and pages that you create . . .
Happy Stenciling!

Awesome! Of course I had to go buy the stencils and now I have loads of ideas. Thank you Kay.
ReplyDeleteLove the stencil pack, really awesome! Already got it ordered, so much potential, don;t even get me started on using them with a Gelli plate!
ReplyDeleteI do hope you'll SHARE your results with us, Cathy!
DeleteCathy, you will LOVE it. I got my set early so I could begin creating with them and they rocked on the Gelli Plate, AWESOME!! I can't wait to share what I made on the blog on Friday!!!
DeleteThese are some great project ideas, Kay. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteThanks! Glad you like this stencil pack as much as I do! The stenciled squares on the layout now remind me of an old tin ceiling. Funny how one can get a completely different look using the same stencil pack but dark paint verses bright ink colors. I certainly enjoyed putting these little projects together :)
ReplyDeleteP.S. Don't my friends have lovely smiles!?!?!!! Heheee
DeleteI love the texture and dimension the acrylic paint adds. (I wish everyone could feel the texture in person, like I can!) Simply awesome technique, Kay. I WILL be trying this!
ReplyDeleteQuick question, will the stencil that comes with the kit be available for purchase on it's own?
ReplyDeleteYes it will. We did not initially place the "kit" stencil online to avoid confusion. Sometimes folks get excited and order the kit AND the stencil, and then we have to call and make sure they want two stencils . . . you get the idea.
DeleteKay these are so beautiful and the layout has so much texture, very cool!!! I have been having so much fun playing with them all!!
ReplyDeleteYay, I grabbed the kit and the stencils as soon as I saw this! This is so versatile and I can't wait to play!
ReplyDeletemy stencils are ordered and I'll try this when they come. It is so pretty
ReplyDeleteI love using stencils and these just complete my collection.Kay your samples are,as always,
ReplyDeleteso very inspiring. My only regret is that there are no stamps with this kit.....maybe a digital set??
Gorgeous and fun!!
ReplyDeleteThese stencils are awesome, I can't wait to start playing with them.
ReplyDeleteAny possibility there will be more of these arriving at the clubhouse for those of us who were too busy working to place an order? Pretty please?
ReplyDeleteMore are on the way and will go back online soon!
