I just love how colorful this collection is...I mean, the pages really do go with almost anything! Here are pages 1 & 2 with some photos from 2012 Retreat:
The title strip on pages 3 & 4 had the perfect sentiment for these photos of my oldest son, Hunter, and his "baby". Last year he took a Parents and Family class, and each student had to bring home one of the computer-programmed infants to care for over a 4 day period. I was so proud of how responsible Hunter was with his baby. Some of Hunter's classmates thought it was a joke to have a "robot baby", but Hunter took the task very seriously. Even "Auntie Emma" and "Uncle Max" got in on the act and took turns babysitting. I just had to capture these photos of the kids with "baby Simon". Don't the colors in the photos go perfectly with the BLBC collection?
Finally, I've been meaning to scrap these photos from our 2011 (yep, last year's) Halloween Party for quite a while now. Turns out the BLBC papers were an awesome compliment for all of my guests' colorful costumes!
You gotta love the JR kit and the fact that it's "all inclusive". I simply grabbed the kit, along with my adhesive and trimmer, and in about an hour the ALSB pages were done and ready for photos. In another 30 minutes, the pages had photos and journaling. As a busy wife, mom, and CS employee, ya gotta love the fact that you can get eight scrapbook pages COMPLETELY done in under 2 hours. Talk about a sense of accomplishment!
Fun Fact: Did you know that a Club Scrap JR membership is only $365 a year? (That's including shipping and handling folks!) That means as a JR member, you'll create 96 scrapbook pages a year, for only about $1 per day. What an amazing value!

Love how you got so many photos on your pages! You never cease to amaze me!
ReplyDeleteGreat layout - I also like the way you can manage so many photos on a page.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the inspiration
Nice pages!
ReplyDeleteI love getting pages done quickly. But the main thing I love about the kits is that I don't have to be creative. The creativity is already done for me. What I like to do is complete the kits without pictures, then when I get a bunch of kits done, I pull out a bunch of pictures and then pull out the completed pages that will go with those pictures. I go to a weekend crop once or twice a year, and just add pictures to completed pages. I usually come home with 7 to 10 completed albums in that weekend. I love the sense of accomplishment without having to be creative. And when I show off my albums, everyone oohs and aahs at the beautiful pages.
ReplyDeleteExactly, Sandy...and way to go getting so much done! Woo hoo!
DeleteGreat layout, thanks for the inspiration.
ReplyDeleteGreat kit! I have been using the SR already for Hanukkah pages. It is fun to see myself in one of your pages, Karen! Love the bright colors.
ReplyDeleteIt was great dining with you and Raymond that night!
DeleteLOL,I love how you justify JR membership as only being $1 a day. Works for me! LOL
ReplyDeleteJustify...enable...hey, whatever it takes, Lucy! ;)
DeleteNice layouts- thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteCathy Gray
Love your pages Karen! Thanks for sharing, and just love how seriously your son took having the Robot Baby at home!
ReplyDeleteThese make me rethink JR. Still waiting for the time when I can have both kits shipped together.
ReplyDeleteWe hear ya, Ruth Ann...and we're workin' on it! :0)
DeleteWell, I've been a Jr member before and if I wanted the Sr, I just asked for it to be shipped with my Jr. Is that what you mean, Ruth Ann?

I really like what Tricia did with the stencil on the first 2 pages, really thinking outside the box!
ReplyDeleteWasn't that awesome? Such a nice touch.
DeleteGreat idea for using multiple pictures with a number legend and good way to use up the miscellaneous number stickers that seem to accumulate.
ReplyDeleteGreat pages! Bright and cheerful
ReplyDeleteLove the "robot baby" layout! The photos are pretty priceless, too.
ReplyDeleteLove seeing all the different subjects you used with this kit - it's amazing how versatile the kits really are!
ReplyDeleteSuch wonderful inspiration. Thank you so much.
ReplyDeleteAnnetteD
Awesome! Love how they go with the pictures. My kit is gathering dust waiting for the holiday festivities to end and I have time again.
ReplyDeleteI have always been a HUGE fan of Scrappin' ALSB Style. Now I'll have to choreograph a dance for it. Seriously, I am going to be so happy to get back to scrappin' after all these Christmas cards.
ReplyDeleteVery nice pages!! I love putting as many pictures on a page and now would like to number and journal them like you did it. Thanks for all of the ideas!! Note to self: try to remember this time...LOL
ReplyDeleteI love this kit!!
ReplyDeleteLisa K
LOL!! Love the look on Hunter's face with his "baby"! Great layout, Karen!
ReplyDeleteLove the layouts Karen. I wonder how my boys would have handled having a "baby" to care for, such as your son did??? Interesting thought.
ReplyDeletePat Czaplicki
Believe me, (I hate to say it) no one was more surprised than I at how well Hunter did with the responsibility...he's usually such a "boy"...know what I mean? Very proud of him!
DeleteHi Karen,
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing the sneak peak. My son had to watch an "egg" instead of a robot baby. He did a good job as well!
Merry Christmas!
Chris Schultz-Buechner
Yeah, in 6th grade they did a sack of flour...not quite the same somehow, lol.
DeleteHi Karen,
ReplyDeleteThis is why I love CS so much. Even tho the theme is Bright Lights, Big City, you showed us how versatile the kits are. I am a huge fan of ALSB and I think I am like Rita-I have hundreds of pages done and just waiting for the "perfect Photos".
Thanks,
Marian Biegel
Hi Karen....I love how you did such a variety of picture types using this current kit! I'm going to have to seriously catch up with my ALSBing. Thank you for the inspiration! Arlene P.
ReplyDeleteThe LO's look quite versatile. Now to find some photos!
ReplyDeleteMarilyn
great layouts!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing the completed layouts. I love to see how people have added photos to the ALSB designs!
ReplyDeleteI always love the Jr kits! Interesting numbers there for Jr Kit membership. Hmmmm, Karen I will think about it. Put me in for the Orient Express Jr give-away!
ReplyDeleteBeth Moran
Great layouts. One thing I miss that was in the older scrap raps are the completed layouts from the prior months kit. Sometimes I just need a little help thinking what would go with a kit other than the obvious.
ReplyDeleteI subscribed to Jr. back when it was first added... and was 8.5x11 paper... and I was doing 8.5x11 scrapping.... so of course I kept getting it (so I could keep getting more paper and goodies) when the paper grew... because by then I was doing 12x12 layouts... and it's definitely worth the $1 per day!!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to get my Jr. box... then I'll scrap my work San Antonio trip... I snapped some Bright Lights/Big City photos!! not often I get to see a night city skyline... and it was a fun trip - so the fun paper will set it off nicely!
Love the LO! This kit is certainly versatile.
ReplyDeleteThe goodies look yummy! Really like the stencil and white pen!
ReplyDeleteLove them all, however my fav is the one with Hunter and his "baby" What a memory that is not set in stone!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to get my kit!
ReplyDeleteLove your layouts! Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteFor a while I had switched my membership to the Club Scrap JR and loved it. Then my love of cardmaking overtook again so I had to switch back. I love the papers and layouts you made. Just Beautiful. Thank you for sharing.
ReplyDeleteLOVE this kit!!
ReplyDeleteLove your pages, Karen.
ReplyDeleteMarcia Coleman
I can't wait to get my kit this month! I also did a ton of scrapping this weekend in preparation for a Christmas gift using up some of my older ALSBs. It was a life saver for a procrastinator like me...
ReplyDeleteI love this kit. Thinking I NEED the Jr kit too!
ReplyDeleteWonderful job, Karen... Actually putting pictures on the pages is always the hardest part for me!
ReplyDeleteAlways love the junior kits, I'd love to gift my mom with a subscription!
ReplyDeleteGreat layouts - I love your son with his "baby"
ReplyDeleteGreat layouts! I still need to explore this kit.
ReplyDeleteI love this kit and can't wait to play with it! :) Soon... Christmas albums have to be finished in the next week! :)
