Gotta love 'Um.

UM=Unmounted...as in "unmounted" rubber stamps.

After 10+ years at Club Scrap, I have an insane number of more than my fair share of rubber stamps. I admit, the very first time I saw a sheet of UM stamps, I thought, "How in the heck are you supposed to stamp with those?" Well, thanks to a bit of tutoring from Tricia, I not only learned how to use UM stamps, but I learned to LOVE them! Now, I'm sure many of you blog readers are already fans, but if UM stamps are news to you, then I invite you to read on...

There are so many benefits...where do I start?

Club Scrap UMs offer a huge variety and selection! Every month, Club Scrap creates at least SIX different sheets of UM stamps, each with a different theme, so you have literally HUNDREDS of images, phrases and sentiments to choose from. Need proof? Our Club Scrap Art Galleria is chock full of gorgeous stamped artwork by our talented members, customers and staff.

UM stamps are an excellent value. Most of our UM stamp sheets have 6-12 (or more) individual stamps for well under $20!

They are easy to use. Grab a bottle of Mount-it Adhesive, a pair of scissors and you're well on your way to stamping nirvana. Add an acrylic block or two to your tool kit, and you're in business. To see for yourself how easy it really is, check out Tricia's video on how to use UM stamps.

They are so easy to store! Because UM stamps aren't "mounted" (as in on wood blocks), you can store embarrassing quantities of many stamps in a small amount of space.

Binders filled with UM stamps stored on page protectors.
Greeting stamps stored in CD cases by sentiment type.
You can do things with UMs that you really can't with regular, wood-mounted, stamps...saving time and effort. Our UM Font sheets have an awesome variety of alphabet styles to choose from. They are just as convenient as using alpha stickers...but you'll never run out of the letters you need!

Multiple stamps can be arranged on a single block for quick 'n easy stamping.
You can also arrange stamps on block to spell out full names/words with our font/alpha UM stamps .
So there you have it...just a few reasons to love UM stamps. And guess what? As part of our Christmas Countdown to Savings, UM stamps are on sale with an awesome discount...today only! Make sure you check 'em out.

12 Days of Giveaways is still going strong! Today's prize is an Arts & Crafts JR kit. To qualify for the drawing, simply leave a comment below this post before midnight tonight (CS/Central time). Do you UM? Good luck!

Happy stamping!

  9. Karen,

Thanks for the great reminder about the UMs. I was like you. Originally I was trying to figure out what the heck was I going to do with these things. Now I love them. I'd love to see how you organize yours in the binders. I'm still working on that.

  13. I'm not much of a stamper, but I also have a few ... ok ... a LOT of CS UMs :D ! The only problem is that my CS Zippered Binders are almost full - just a little hint.

  14. Once I figured out a storage system that worked for me (cd cases) I use my stamps much more now. I love seeing all the different looks the same stamp can give when used with different techniques.

  15. The CD system works well for me, for the new stamps. The older ones are resting comfortably in binders on page protectors.

  16. For a non-stamper I have lots of CS ums. I even unmounted my wood stamps to allow more storage space.

  17. I have mine in cd's now but will probably be changing the way I am soring them, I'll go to the binder with a zipper.

  18. I have mine in binders and folders. So many stamps, so little time.
Arts and Crafts, ohhh a very favorite kit!

  19. Unmounteds are my favorite and I find myself obsessed with having to have all of them. I do like that they take up less room the the wood mounteds which means more room for more stamps, yeahhh!!!!

  20. Love those UMs with the leaves. I now keep all of my greetings together so I don't have to sort through every set for a Happy Birthday.

  21. I love stamping and I love the Club Scrap UM sheets. Now that we have the mount-it, this is just so easy to use on the stamps. Here is my post about it and how I store my stamps: http://craftchaos.blogspot.nl/2012/07/brewed-awakenings-1.html
BTW I do have most of the CS but I must have missed these. Great sheets.

  22. I use cutting my UM's as therapy - not sure why but it is very relaxing!

    ReplyDelete
  23. I LOVE stamps... especially Club Scrap's UMs. I think I need to get another case of cd cases. oops.

  24. I love my CS UMs. I have been slowly reorganizing my stamps somewhat by theme. Gotta' love organization!

  25. I love UM's and saw you have a great sale today on them. I checked and I already own all of them, talk about insane!
PS Arts and Crafts is a fav of mine- what a special reward that will be for someone

  26. I love the UM's too! I just haven't found the time to really put them to use. Guess that doesn't stop me from ordering more though. teeheehee.

  27. I love UM's, in fact I unmounted all my old wood block stamps to make them UM to save space!

    ReplyDelete
  28. I finally finished taking the wood off pretty much every stamp I own... they're all on 8.5x11 page protectors in a bunch of 3-ring binders.... but I find myself pulling those binders down and flipping through them MUCH more than I ever found myself digging through layers of mounted stamps

I've got some gluing to do.... bought some of the sale stamps for some Christmas gifts..

    ReplyDelete
  29. I was surprised the first time I got UM stamps from you but I am a fan now! I need to work on storing all my stamps that way. Thanks for a chance to win!

    ReplyDelete
  30. I love working with unmounted stamps so much, that I took all of my old mounted stamps off of their blocks.

    ReplyDelete
  31. I too have the insane amount of stamps. I like the way you have yours stored. Will be doing that....thanks

    ReplyDelete
  32. I have so many unmounted. And only a few left to go. So much better and so much less space. Thanks

    ReplyDelete
  33. Love unmounteds! It's very unattractive to buy wood-mounted stamps any more, when unmounteds are clearly such a better value!

    ReplyDelete
  34. I buy mostly UM stamps now but have never used the glue to mount them. Guess I better get on that. Thanks for your always-helpful tips and techniques, Tricia.

    ReplyDelete
  35. The only downside is that the smaller unmounted seem to fall off the page protector sheets.

    ReplyDelete
  36. I joined Club Scrap in 2003 and had no idea what to do with stamps. 9 years later and I am much more of a stamper than scrapper. I buy almost exclusively um stamps now and am currently on CS UM stamp binder #24. There are also a few other non-cs binders. And yet I still seem to find stamps all the time that I just have to have.

    Not addicted at all...

  37. I also have a huge amount of UMs. I could never find a place for all of my stamps if they were wood mounted. Hubby would probably toss me out if that was the case:-) i can't live without my CSUM. The images are so crisp and clean.

  38. I LOVE my UMs! I have two, no three zipped binders with them, and my biggest problem is finding the time to use more of them ! !

    ReplyDelete
  39. I love the storage ideas. And the glue is so much better than the pesky hook and loop. How exciting. Thanks for the ideas.

  40. I love the UMs. I have a small collection waiting for glue right now... I think that will be one of my after Christmas projects! :)

  41. I have more UM than I can keep track of. But I have some in CD cases and some in binders. I just can't seem to get them organized in a good way. But I still bought a few sets today. LOL

    ReplyDelete
  42. I have more than I can keep track of but I still managed to order some today.

  43. I was always a strictly WM kinda gal, but I have to admit to falling in love with UM ... so much versitility and so easy to store! Mine are currently in CD cases, but I may have to consider the binder with page protector option in case it uses less space (which would leave room for more stamps...) Thanks for the suggestion!

  44. I love my unmounted stamps. I use the CD cases, but I am also using some DVD cases for CS stamps. A lot of the images in the CS stamps option for the senior kit are too big for the cd cases so I will use the DVD case.
I have my UMs stored by kit. I like the suggestion of storing the greetings together. Perhaps I need to re=think that.
