Assembly Line Card Formula with a Patriotic Twist

An "early" Happy 4th of July to all. I hope everyone has a fun and safe holiday weekend!

July is a crazy birthday month for my family. Between family, and close friends, I have ten birthdays in July. That, along with sending cards for the monthly Club Scrap Birthday Swap, left me with a huge birthday card deficit. Since it was already July 2nd, I needed to make a batch of cards in a HURRY! So what's a gal to do? Why, you grab an Assembly Line Cardmaking formula, of course!

Tricia created an awesome formula for the June Hopes Scrap Rap Magazine, which was perfect for the occasion! (Pages 16 and 17.) This formula was just the ticket because it makes twelve cards from twelve sheets of 8-1/2 x 11" paper. Score!

Since it was so close to the 4th of July, and almost half of my July birthdays are for men, I decided to go a bit patriotic/masculine with my color scheme. So I grabbed my Cape Cod Club Stamp paper pack, Cape Cod Unmounted rubber stamps and the June Hopes card-making formula and got to work.

The result? Ten birthday cards, and two Thank You cards--after all, I just might need those Thank You cards because my birthday is in July, too!

I made duplicates of the cards I liked best.

If you haven't yet, I encourage you to give Assembly Line Cardmaking a try. Tricia has shared freebie formulas in past issues of the Scrap Rap Magazine and in past blog posts. In addition to that, Club Scrap offers two card-making Idea Decks, each loaded with 52 more card-making formulas to help you use up your stash:  Assembly Line Cardmaking Volume 1 and Volume 2. Give these formulas a try and you'll never find yourself with a card "deficit" again!

Creatively yours,
Karen

  4. Last night I was debating which sketch I wanted to use with Cape Cod - this just might be it, I guess we will find out during PSL.
