Good Monday Morning Everyone!
I am so happy that you have joined me for Part 2 of my Cape Cod Memory Box Project.
You can find Part 1
HERE!
I created an album that fits nicely into my Memory Box using book board and 2 small rings from the office supply store. This idea came from
Laura at Following the Paper Trail. Please click the link for a helpful how to video. I used papers from the
Cape Cod kit to cover my book and to create the inside pages. This album holds 74 photos taken when my brother Jeff and his family were visiting our family here on Cape Cod for a week in July. It feels good to get these photos printed and into an album only a week after they returned home.
Here is how the album came together.
|
Cut book board into a spine and 2 cover pieces. |
|
Cut inside pages to fit into your album. |
|
Create a template using a punch tool to act as a guide to where the holes will be punched on the spine. |
|
Holes punched in spine and in all pages. |
|
Outside of spine. |
|
All pages added and ready for photos. |
|
Tie fibers and ribbons around the rings on outside of spine. |
|
Add photos to inside pages. |
|
The album fits nicely inside box. |
Hope you have a great week!
Julie
So beautiful, and what a great way to get a little album done quickly
ReplyDeleteYou make me wanting to make books instead of being at work!! Lovely Julie!!
ReplyDeleteIt's gorgeous And "simply" gorgeous, too. Love the book structure. Nice job as always, Julie!
ReplyDeleteOh, just an awesome keepsake! Not that the box itself wasn't cool enough, the book and photos inside are so great too.
ReplyDeleteAmazing project!!
ReplyDeleteLovely book!
ReplyDeleteWonderful book! I love how you made it to fit the box.
ReplyDeleteI just love the Cape Cod striped ribbon! Have to order more. It is so fun to have the album in a box...what a nice surprise for the person who opens the box. Beautiful
ReplyDeleteSuper cool! Isn't it amazing that there are always new little twists to what we love doing? this comes at a perfect time for me; my DD's MIL just asked me for an idea on how to use some sea glass she collected while in Scotland. She wants something special and I think this box and album are PERFECT!!!
ReplyDeleteYou rock, Julie!
