And Happy Labor Day too...
Whenever I am on Pinterest I am always looking for new and exciting layout designs and when I came across this one I really thought I was going to use my Cape Cod kit papers to recreate it. That was until the new Pattern Basics were released last month! The Brights set of papers have so much visual texture and color they make me happy. So I set out to recreate a layout based on this DESIGN.
Remember the layouts from last week? I used some of the leftovers for this page. |
Use the 8x8 grid ruler to make an angled cut on the 6x12" striped paper. |
Use the 3x14" acrylic ruler to make this angled cut on the 4x9.5" brocade paper. |
Mark the midpoint on the back of the 1.25x10" pink dotted paper. |
Use a square punch and line up the bottom edge and the dot to make the angled cut. Use the same technique when punching the .5x8.75" notebook print paper. |
And PUNCH! |
Use 2 plain white cardstock photo mats cut at 4.25x6.25". |
Embellish with assorted items from Bold Blooms kit and paper flowers made from HPOPs. |
Add two 4x6" photos to the photo mats. |
The photos are of my daughter, mother in-law and niece standing in front of a Fringe Tree at Heritage Museum and Gardens. If you have never seen this tree in bloom it is truly a sight to behold. Uncommon and Blooming Boldly!
Have a fantastic week and thanks so much for stopping by.
Julie
