The free trimming formula I've designed makes eight toppers with just four 8.5x11" papers.
1. Score 8.5x11 Papers A and B vertically at 5.75". Trim horizontally at 8.25, 5.5 and 2.75". Use a die, punch or craft knife to remove a 2" circle or square from the center of the 2.75" scored area.
2. Trim 8.5x11 Papers C and D vertically at 7.25, 5 and 2.5". Cut each 2.5x11 horizontally at 5.5". Trim the 2.25x11 horizontally at 9, 6.75, 4.5 and 2.25". (I punched a 2" circle from the 2.25" squares to create my toppers.)
Keep your toppers handy for a great last-minute gift idea. If you present a nice bottle of Cabernet to your child's 3rd grade teacher with a handmade topper like this, they will really know how much you appreciate them!
Happy bottle topping,
Tricia
I absolutely love that you designed an Assembly Line formula for this adorable bottle tag!! AWESOME, thanks Tricia. These gifts are always so nice to give and receive.
ReplyDeleteA bottle of flavor infused olive oil. (I really want to say Vodka but I was trying to come up with something that someone COULD give their third grade teacher!)
ReplyDeleteThese are awesome and I shall make some. I have a LOT of summer birthdays coming up.
Melissa, that is a fantastic idea, I just bought a bottle of Garlic Olive Oil that I am in love with. I forgot to mention and you made me think of, Balsamic Vinegar would be lovely too :)
DeleteThe smaller bottle pictured above is actually a bottle of white truffle oil I'd purchased as a lovely gift to myself. :) Yum!
DeleteMy husband is a 7th grade science teacher. I know he'd love a bottle of Kesslers with this cute little tag on it.
DeleteWhat a great way to give a hostess gift, too! Thanks for sharing your fun idea, Tricia!!
ReplyDeleteSuper gift idea, Tricia and looking fabulous!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Teacher. Now that school's over, get drunk! :) haha... Seriously, these are a great idea. Thanks for the detailed instructions.
ReplyDeleteCute! Idea!
ReplyDeleteI see a potential gift for my dad for Father's Day, for the man who has everything . . . a bottle of scotch with one of these awesome tags!
ReplyDeleteI have seven bottle toppers left. You are welcomed to use one for that bottle 'o scotch!
DeleteWhat a great idea. Thanks for the formula.
ReplyDeletereally cute!
ReplyDeleteHow clever and cute are these! When you "retire" you could make these, laminate them and sell them at art & craft shows, Tricia! A little pocket money. :)
ReplyDeleteTOTALLY LOVE THIS!!! Gorgeous!!
ReplyDeleteI can't think of a better way to use the "we do loud" etc. saying. Just perfect! Thanks!
