Aspen Digital, Enhanced!

Happy Thursday, Everyone!

Have you seen the new Aspen Digital Kit yet? It’s just stunning!

If you’re a digital member, you may have noticed a couple of enhancements to the kit this month. In the past, all of the stamp images were delivered as individual PNG files, but from now on, they’ll be consolidated into a few ‘sheets’ of images. This month there are 3 files, but the actual number may vary by collection, depending on the size and shape of the images.

These sheets of images have a few benefits:

1. All the images have a bit of extra ‘air’ or space around them, so you can select a single image with the marquee tool. This is usually easier than using the lasso tool to select an item.

2. All the quotes and  images are grouped together on separate sheets, making it easier to find the perfect sentiment or image for your layout or card. I don’t know about you, but I used to hate going through 15 or 20 separate files, just to find the right quote or image!

3. These files are designed to fit on an 8.5x11 sheet of paper, so you can print out a full sheet on CS kit paper. This is ideal if you want to do some hybrid scrapping or card making - each image should have at least 1/8 inch ‘air’ around it, so after printing, just grab your cutting mat, craft knife and ruler and create some tags. Layer them with coordinating paper and add them to your paper scrapbooks and cards. Easy-Peasy!
The new Digital Stamp files are easy to print out for hybrid use!

In addition to the enhancements to the stamp image files, there’s an extra Alpha file in the kit now, too. You’ll still get the individual PNG files for use on your layouts, but there’s also an 8.5x11 sheet with a background already in place. You can print this out and cut it up for some hybrid fun, or you can use the marquee tool to select individual letters for your digital layouts - it’s like getting 2 different Alphas in each kit now!
The new Alpha file can be used digitally or as a hybrid printout!

I hope you enjoy these changes we’ve made to the digital kit - whether you’re a digital scrapper or a hybrid fan (or both!), these enhancements should make using your kit much easier!

Wait, you're not a Digital Member yet? What are you waiting for? Join now!

See you next week!

  42. i am VERY SORRY to see this new format of the digi-kits -- i don't have TIME to open files and have to extract a specifid graphic or wordart from a sheet -- i scroll thru the folder in large thumbnail/icon views and do a control-select on the ones i want to use and drag them into PSE.

out of all the digi-SB kits out there, i've paid the higher price to get CS kits because of the digi-"stamps" (b-w graphics & wordart)... individual files... IF that's no longer available?... this new format means more work & more time to scrap -- that i don't have!! (i'm a "back-to-schooler"). PLEASE RECONSIDER and include the SEPARATE files per graphic/stamp/wordart, etc.... if this is a permanent new format, i won't be continuing my membership much longer.

btw, my current favorite tool (and most used) is the 3x14 CS ruler AND sheffield folding lockback utility knife - i bought the mini's for SB-ing and the large ones for gifts last year -- the large one (with the CS ruler) has been GREAT for cutting off the bindings of textbooks, to convert them to looseleaf :-)
