With the wonderful Unmounted Rubber Stamp Font Sale going on here at Club Scrap (they are such a good deal right now!!!) I wanted to put some of my font stamps into action here on the cover of my new D-Ring Album. This D-Ring Album is a past retreat project and I'm so glad we keep a few colors in stock yet, however I didn't use the paper that came with the kit on this project, I collaged several UM Font stamped scraps of cardstock together to cover this album. Actually I did use the black inside and outside spine wrap that came in the kit, but then the rest came from my own stash.

I got the inspiration from a wall hanging I bought Marilee a year or so ago, you know, those plaques containing all those great words of wisdom. Well why not make my own using Club Scrap Font stamps?!?! So I attached the spine wrap and began to fill the front cover with stamped cardstock, beginning with the piece that states "Things to do" of course.
I think the big tip is just being sure to get glue brushed all the way to the edges of each paper so that no paper edges or corners pop up.
I continued covering the book board cover, wrapping the cardstock around the
edges until it was complete.
Then finished the inside covers off with attaching a coordinating 12x12. The last step for me was punching the holes and setting the binder mechanism with rivets using a heavy duty rivet setter. Worked pretty slick I must say :) The binder and rivets come right in the kit.
Yeah! I'm all excited and ready to load my new 12x12 album with layouts!
Enjoy the UM Font Sale and thanks for looking!
Wishing you a creative upcoming weekend,
Kay
P.S. I'm adding a pic of the album back cover. I forgot to initially but thought I would today. The back cover certainly went quicker than the front with less piecing, but it coordinates well and works for me :)
