I've seen some super-cool altered t-shirts and aprons worn by Club Scrap members at past retreats. I keep forgetting that I have this option to think outside the "sheet of paper" and use my materials to create wearable art!
This was one of my favorite basic white t-shirts until it made very unfortunate contact with a drop of soy sauce. (Grrrr!) It was destined for the trash, but then I made a rescue and decided to try something artistic with the Versailles Masking Stencil. I mean, what did I have to lose?
1. Insert cardboard into the shirt to protect the layers of fabric. (Use a CS® Pizza Box!)
3. Remove the stencil and place onto a protected work surface. Press a clean sheet of paper onto the misted stencil to create a secondary piece of artwork.
4. Add more mist, if 'ya like.
5. Stamp additional images onto the shirt. Heat set with an iron or heat tool.
I hope you go ahead and try this for yourself. It's so fun 'n easy, you won't believe it!
