Happy Monday!
I'm such a procrastinator, especially when it comes to making time to get creative. I need a goal...AND a concrete deadline, or nothing gets done. Are you like that?
If so, then I invite you join me for 2013 Weekly Chronicles. The goal of Weekly Chronicles is to get you using your "stuff", taking more pictures (or, in some cases, scrapping the pictures you already have...still lurking on your digital camera or computer), and creating at least one scrapbook page per week. You can do traditional scrapping, or digital...and in any size or format you like. Weekly Chronicles was new to Club Scrap in 2012, and I'm happy to say we ended the year with excellent results.
This year, we're switching things up a bit to make Weekly Chronicles even better (we learned A LOT). The challenge "officially" starts today, but the beauty of our set up is that you can jump in any time and utilize the prompts in your own way...making it completely your own. The prompts are designed to get you "thinking outside the box" as far as photos and journaling, helping you get creative and maybe even scrapping things you might not have otherwise. Even if you only get 1 or 2 layouts done per month, you'll still end up with a great keepsake in the pages you create by the end of the year.
You can check out the January (Weeks 1-4) challenges HERE. I invite you to start creating pages and sharing your work on the forum...you'll love the support and encouragement you'll get from your fellow Chroniclers. C'mon, what are you waiting for?
Creatively yours,
Karen

You're Invited...
Over
the years, I've spent a lot of time lurking on the Project 365 thread
of our online Community forum. I've always been blown away at the
level of dedication of those who participated. Those folks truly have
a detailed record of a particular time period in their lives...which
is an amazing gift for themselves and for future generations.
I knew
Project 365 was a great goal, but I also found out that it's a
project with a huge "drop out" rate. I found myself very
inspired by those who did Project 365 (and a teensy bit envious), but
it was all too easy to make excuses: I'm too busy! What if I forget?
Could I really take a photo a day and keep up with the journaling?
So, one of my New Year's Resolutions for 2012 became taking on Club Scrap's Weekly Chronicles as a personal challenge. Weekly photos and layouts sounded a whole lot easier to stick to, and there's a new theme challenge each week to inspire me creatively. With lots of other Club Scrap Forum Members participating, it''s been an amazing experience learning more about my online friends through their pages and journaling.

Well, it's been a little over six months, and I'm happy to say Weekly Chronicles is still going strong. There's a core group of people who've managed to maintain their goal of weekly pages without interruption...amazing! But you know what the beauty is? Even though a few of us might get behind by a week or two, catching up isn't some insurmountable task.
This process been such a rewarding and enriching experience or me. So, I thought now would be a great time to remind
you, my crafty friends, about Weekly Chronicles. Guess what? You can
jump in any time! So what if you didn't start it at the beginning of
the year? There are still plenty of weekly challenges to inspire you
in the coming months, giving you plenty of material for a “book of
me” or 6 month snapshot of what your life was like in 2012.
So,
head on over and check out the details. I cordially invite you to hop in and join the party right now...it's NOT too late. You'll be so glad you did!
