A Card Sketch Takes Wing

I liked the card sketch Julie shared earlier this week so much I couldn't wait to give it a try. In order to demonstrate how versatile the sketch could be, I used Take Wing papers. Julie created her own prints with stamping, but I was feeling a bit (ahem) lazy, so I used four 12x12 papers--two prints and two plains.

I followed Julie's cutting diagram for all four sheets and mixed and matched the different elements until pleased with the arrangement. Then I grabbed some stamps from my stash for some stamping fun. The result? Eight fun cards in about an hour! (All stamps from Take Wing, Tribal, and Fire & Ice.)

I hope you're inspired to try Julie's sketch, too. Have a creative day!

  1. Great cards Karen! I like how the prints and solids looked so pretty together and in just an hour! That inspires me to get that ALBC OWH counter rolling.

  2. Great ideas! If you're feeling artsy, use plain paper and jazz it up yourself. If you're short on time, grab patterned papers and go for it!
